Potential

The project area has a thriving sugar industry, based primarily on estate grown sugar; it has a cotton ginnery that is set to expand and a reasonably good infrastructure with regard to roads and electricity supply. The private sector supplies fertilizer, pesticide and seeds through the many small stores in the area.
